Book titles, since they are not full sentences, can be read/written in different ways depending on what is unstated (مقدر). For instance:
الأربعون النووية would be considered marf'u due to the implicit statement هذا الكتاب الأربعون النووية i.e. this book is the 40 Nawawi.
Or majrur due to هذاالكتاب كتاب الأربعين النووية i.e. this book is the book 40 Nawawi
Essentially they are the same and there is little consequence for the gramatical differences
