Asalamu alaikum. In the Hadith the word pillars is not actually mentioned. Would we say the word is assumed?

The Hadith, Islam is built upon 5. The term pillars - rukn pl. arkan - is not generally used in the Hadith nor the Qur'an. However, due to the the Hadith that islam is built upon 5, and other Hadith where Islam is given the similitude of a building. For this reason, the term rukn or pillars have been used by virtually all the scholars.
