As-Salāmu Alaykum,
I am aware that consigning the meanings of the mutashābihāt is the way of the salaf (when it did not lead to confusion regarding the Exalted Lord's Transcendence). My question is whether they interpreted the verse which mentions that Allah will 'forget' or did they say that forgetting is one of His Attributes that does not, in any way, resemble the forgetting of humans.
