Also - if one is studying a variety of Islamic sciences do they all group under الثقافة الاسلامية or would one say various Islamic Sciences - and if so, is the correct way to say this العلوم الاسلامية مختليفة?

Assalamu alaykum Ustadha Bano!

If one is studying a variety of Islamic sciences, they would say

الثقافة الإسلامية

or more commonly used,

العلوم الإسلاميّة

This is actually not a word in Arabic: مختليفة

The word for different would be  مختلفة، but it is not used in this context. Just العلوم الإسلاميّة is sufficient.

Assalamu alaykum,

In fusha (modern standard Arabic), طبيب is someone who treats a patient, while a دكتور  is someone who has a Phd.

In colloquial Arabic, دكتور is used for both.
