About the text:

The Mukhtasar of Al-Quduri is a fundamental text in the Hanafi Fiqh scholarship. It was written as a textbook for the early legal curricula in Iraq and Syria. Many commentaries have been written in various languages, especially in the arabic language. Quduri holds an important place in the Hanafi Fiqh scholarship. It is used as a primary textbook in many Islamic institutions for students worldwide, including Egypt, Turkey, South Asia, and many institutes in the West.

Name: Abu al-Husayn Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Ahmad al-Quduri (Born 316 A.H./973 C.E. - Died 5, Rajab 428 A.H/1037 C.E.)

 Virtues: Of the most reliable jurists, eloquent in expression, constant in recitation of the Qur’an, the head of all of the Hanafi jurists in ‘Iraq. 

His Works: Mukhtasar al-Quduri; Sharh Mukhtasar alKarkhi; al-Tajrid; al-Taq

            He was one of the foremost scholars of the Hanafi school and played a pivotal role in the transmission           of Hanafi fiqh
