Assalamu Alaykum,
The Shaykh mentions that there is no difference between Tayyib and Halal.
However, there are four verses in the Quran that speak of "Halalan Tayyiban" (2:168, 5:88, 8:69, 16:114). I remember very well a lesson by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani in which he mentioned one of these verses and made a clear distinction between Halal and Tayyib. He also touched on the issue of factory farming in class and said that the meat produced from it is Halal but not Tayyib. Because by consuming the meat you are indirectly helping in a sin, the meat is Makruh Tanzihan. There seems to be a contradiction here. Could you enlighten me?
