As-Salāmu Alaykum, respected Shaykh
There is a Hadīth in the Shifā' (There is a similar Hadīth in Bukhārī [Kitāb at-Tawhīd, I think]) where a man said: "Perhaps I will mislead Allāh", upon hearing this, the noble Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "May Allah forgive him".
My question is, then, is it so important to know creed?
Furthermore, Qādī Iyād quotes the opinion that if the people had been asked regarding the Attributes, few of them would have known.
