Assalamu alaikum,
In this course it is mentioned that Allah(swt) exists outside of time space. Previously I’ve done course work in Athari theology that indicated that Allah(swt) is above his creation, with Hadith used as evidence. My question is, is it required to believe one over the other, or can one choose like with rulings from a madthab? If one is required over the other then how is one to choose which to follow as one is based on logical deduction, and the other on the literal meaning of the text? Unless I am misunderstanding the sources.
