In this course, Shaykh Faraz Rabbani and Ustadh Amjad Tarsin address the identity of the Muslims and the key characteristics of the Prophetic Way.
Shaykh Faraz starts the course by discussing what defines our identity. Our very creativeness points to the human’s needing a creator. God is necessarily Existent, while everything else is merely possible. He is free of need, while we are characterized by utter dependence on Him. Shaykh Faraz emphasizes the need for the servant to humbly turn to Allah in complete servitude to attain self-realization.
Ustadh Amjad Tarsin expands on the topic of recognizing the proper places of things, leading to the recognition of the proper place of God in the order of existence. He also highlights the Qur’an’s discussion of topics related to the soul. He highlights the importance of the Prophetic model as being the way to draw closer to Allah
